If the swords, magic, and dark atmosphere from The witcher 4 first cinematic trailer have caught your attention but you’re new to the series, there’s good news: CD Projekt Red’s upcoming RPG will mark the beginning of a brand new saga, featuring a fresh protagonist and storyline. This makes it the perfect starting point for newcomers.
Now here’s where things get interesting because not just are you going to know who is the main character in witcher 4 but you will be in on the witcher 4 controversy. Ciri is the main character in the witcher 4 or as we may call the female protagonist and believe it or not people, yet again a female protagonist has become a controversy. Even before with starwars this issue had come up and now it has also become a witcher 4 controversy.
But this time its more about the look ciri as protagonist and not really the fact that it’s a female protagonist. According to fans She bears little resemblance to Ciri from The Witcher 3. It’s not just that she’s older, her entire bone structure appears altered. Her face looks noticeably different, and her voice has undergone a change that goes beyond what aging alone could explain.
But that still doesn’t stop people from passing sexist comments about ciri as protagonist just because it’s a female.

"Bet they turned Woke meter to 100%. main character is a woman who is a lesbian non binary helicopter [sic]."
"So this is another gender swap game, yuckk."
"Woke uglification of women hit Ciri hard."
As for the witcher 4 release date game unfortunately we have no news of when its going to be released but it is rumoured to be out at the end of 2025 but again rumors are another fake way of making yourself feel better so we never know.
