Sony Announces Ghost of Tsushima 2 as Ghost of Yotei
Ghost of tsushima 2 being released as Ghost of Yotei because of a new female protagonist

For years the question of a new Ghost of Tsushima game have been running
around with people asking “Is ghost of tsushima 2 confirmed?” Finally after the
wait of more than four years Sony announced Ghost of Tsushima 2 as Ghost of
Yotei in PlayStation’s State of Play. Apparently it was one of the most surprising
news of the event as fans had been waiting for a long time for Ghosts of Tsushima 2.
Just like the first part Ghost of Tsushima 2 is being produced by the Sucker Punch
but of course with a new game the studio has taken a new path with a new
protagonist and a new setting.
The timeline of the game or we can say that the new installment of Saga will be
1603, 4 centuries after the adventures of Jin Sakai. We also have a little
information and tea about the new face of the game.
The name of the new protagonist is Atsu, who is a new ghost and will be
threading Ronin’s path while leaving ghosts from her own past behind.
Reaction of people on a female protagonist
Even before the game is released people have been openly deciding to boycott it
declaring the game “woke” because its protagonist is a woman. Imagine in
today’s day and age having a mindset that does not enjoy a game because its
main character is female. Which if seen from another mindset is weird since that
could have been the reason the game gained more popularity. But here supposed
fans are mad because of this.
This is unfortunately nothing new in the gamers community and has happened
recently as well with the release of Baldur’s gate 3 and Eldin Ring who got flagged
on a curation page.
The Star Wars: Outlaws came under fire calling seemingly because the lead
character Kay Vess is “ugly” and “chestless.” Who could even imagine reading
such misogynistic reviews about a game?
In response to the announcement of the Ghost of Tsushima 2 sequel, YouTuber
MightyKeef posted a comment from a user on X reacting to the news with the
caption: “Man what an absolute loser.” The comment included sentences that
would definitely ignite fire in any sane person who comes across it. It included
sentences like,
“They can’t help themselves until every franchise that was built on masculinity is
replaced by women.
“Ghost of Yōtei is (hopefully) a smaller spin-off game, but if this is the true sequel & this is the new main character over Jin Sakai, f**k that.
“So sick of the forced girlboss narrative man”
More about the game and its previous part
The trailer shows brief snippets of Katana-wielding combat and Atsu firing a gun
which was impressive. It starts with a man saying “people come to the North to
disappear” who’s later killed by Atsu the samurai. In the end it teases with Atsu
looking over the place from a mountain on a horse.
While the trailer exposed little to nothing about Ghost of Tsushima 2
protagonist Atsu, it’s safe to assume the game along will follow the same lines as
Ghost of Tsushima. For those unaware, Ghost of Tsushima, released in 2020, is an
action-adventure game where we follow the story of Jin Sakai.
Ghost of Tsushima 2 release date
Unfortunately we do not have a definite ghost of Tsushima 2 release date
although we do know that it is going to be released in 2025. But it is suspected to
be released in the second half of the year or in late 2025 for if it was to release
earlier than that the release date would have been out by now.
