Never Let Go 2024 is a direction of Alexandre Aja who has had success with countless movies before and so we were having no doubts about never let go movie being any less than the others.
Lionsgate released the trailer of the never let go movie. It was premiered at the Regal Times Square New York on 16th of September and was out in the theatres on 20th of September.
Unlike most of Alexandre Aja’s films Never let go 2024 is a thrilling horror movie that revolves around fiction evil sensations and powers (which tells us it is not based on a true story) but surprisingly mental illness was one issue that apparently should have been the highlight of the movie. Clearly never let go 2024 film was not able to show that perspective of the movie properly.
Berry said she took the role in Never let go movie is because she’s a bonafide adrenaline junkie and the movie gave her an opportunity to be the part of a world she’d never experienced.
“With this movie, it reminded me how I would protect my children with my life,” Berry added. “We often say, ‘I would take a bullet for my kids.’ Would you take a knife for your kids?”
Never let go movie unfolds with a mother with her twin sons in the midst of a forest surrounded by an evil spirit that would only harm them if their bond with each other and the house they’re living in is not strong enough. According to her (called Momma), momma and the twins Samuel and Nolan are the only people left in the world after the evil took down the rest. And to survive, all of them have to tie themselves with ropes that are tied to all of them together and the house bringing them back to the house together whenever they go out in search of food or out at all. One thing that momma always tells the boys is to “never let go”. We assume she’s referring to the rope that ties all of them together.
Not much later due to an incident that takes place outside of the house, Nolan starts dismissing his mother and not believing in what she says about the evil and hoe she is the only one who can see it in different forms of people who are already dead.
Things take a drastic turn as their bond with each other weakens, momma kills herself and one of the kids gets possessed by the evil himself. The end shows a complete twist than what could be expected by the entire movie.
Never let go 2024 although did not do very bad with the critics however was a major disappointment in the box office. The reason for its failure is considered the film being too depressing for the audience. Although in my perspective, the reason never let go movie did not receive the kind of attention that was expected because it failed to stay at one point. The plot was perplexing keeping the viewer confused about what exactly was happening and couldn’t keep the audience hooked to one thing.
The entire movie it felt as if it was a fiction horror story and the end showed the mother being mentally ill and making up the whole situation due to her mental condition and past traumas of having an abusive partner and immediate family.
The mental illness perspective of the movie which should have been the key story the entire movie was never well received through out the movie.
None the less, it would be unfair to say never let go 2024 film had an amazing cast who did a splendid job. Especially Halle Berry as momma, Percy Daggs IV as Nolan and Anthony B. Jenkins as Samuel.
