If you are a fan of Marvel you definitely know who MCU Red Hulk is and here’s a little story about the Thunderbolt Ross aka Red Hulk.

As a matter of fact, Thunderbolt Ross or can be called Thaddeus Ross hated hulk himself as a kid. As a young man, Thaddeus Ross enlists in the military and receives his nickname from his troops because he “struck like a thunderbolt” when leading them into action. He rises the ranks to General and boasts a powerful hatred of Bruce Banner, AKA the Hulk, spending his career hunting the monster down. In the comics, Ross is a high-ranking U.S. military officer with a deep hatred for the Hulk, and his obsessive pursuit of the creature leads him to become involved in a series of experiments that ultimately transform him into the MCU Red Hulk.

The transformation happens in The Incredible Hulk comics during the storyline known as “Red Hulk”, which debuted in 2008. Thunderbolt Ross, driven by a desire to defeat the Hulk once and for all, undergoes a procedure to give him Hulk-like powers. However, unlike Bruce Banner’s Hulk, Ross’s Red Hulk doesn’t turn green when he transforms. Instead, he becomes a larger, red-skinned version of himself with immense strength and power, but with a twist he retains his intelligence and military training when in his Hulk form, which makes him a much more strategic and calculating adversary.

Is red hulk a villian or hero?

Is Red Hulk a villian or hero? The answer isn't straightforward. As Thunderbolt Ross, Red Hulk starts as a bitter antagonist to the Hulk, driven by his personal vendetta. However, after his transformation, he occasionally acts in a more heroic capacity. Unlike the green Hulk, Red Hulk retains his intelligence and military discipline, sometimes using his power for the greater good—though his methods are often brutal. While Red Hulk has been part of teams like the Avengers and the Thunderbolts, his morally gray nature keeps him on the edge, making him an antihero rather than a clear-cut villain or hero.

Sam Wilson vs Red Hulk

Sam Wilson and Red Hulk (Thunderbolt Ross) have a complex relationship that is more rooted in shared experiences as members of the Avengers or as part of larger team dynamics, rather than any personal or familial ties. Their interactions often revolve around their differences in approach to power and heroism, as well as their roles in protecting the world from large-scale threats.

Both Sam Wilson vs Red Hulk have been involved with the Avengers at different times. Sam has long been a member of the Avengers, while Red Hulk, after his transformation, also briefly becomes a part of the team in the comics. At various points, the Avengers have had to work together with Red Hulk in a tense but necessary alliance, particularly when facing threats that require immense power.

Sam Wilson vs the Red Hulk share some key storylines in the comics, such as during the "Fear Itself" event and other major Avengers crossover events. In these arcs, Sam Wilson and Red Hulk are both part of the larger team of Avengers, fighting global threats. They also both find themselves dealing with the fallout from battles involving Hulk-like power.

Enemy of the hulk

The biggest enemy of the Red Hulk is Bruce Banner, the original Hulk. As the Red Hulk, Thunderbolt Ross holds a deep, personal rivalry with Banner, stemming from his hatred of the green Hulk. This intense animosity makes Banner the ultimate enemy of the Hulk, as Ross seeks to prove himself superior, often escalating their conflict to new, destructive levels.
