Joker 2 or Joker: Folie à Deux is a sequel of the blockbuster movie Joker 2019 and ever since the 2nd part of it was announced people were curious to know that will batman be in Joker 2? Being the villain in the batman series it was only fair for people to expect batman to make an appearance at least in the second part. But unfortunately fans were disappointed when it was confirmed that batman will not be a part of the sequel of Joker.
After the cast was announced with Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck or Joker and joker 2 Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn people started to wonder and ask “is joker 2 gonna be a musical?”. Which makes complete sense since the world famous popstar of all time lady gaga was in the main cast of the movie. And to answer the question Joker: Folie à Deux or Joker 2 musical is actually a musical. This piece of information however, was a bit of a confusion for the audience since Lady gaga herself said in an interview that it is not a musical but then proceeded to describe it exactly how a musical would be described.

But this Joker isn’t just any Joker: He’s a musical, so expect to hear lots of dark and chaotic songs that echo Fleck’s deeper madness. Arthur will find Harley in the psychiatric hospital and they will explore their toxic, symbiotic relationship. Will Batman be in Joker 2? The Joker 2 movie is set in Gotham City, so it’s safe to say that Bruce Wayne will be involved. Will Batman be in Joker 2? No, Batman will not stop Fleck in Joker 2.
Another intriguing aspect is whether Joker 2 is really going to be a musical. Yes! This risky move provides a stunning contrast to the grim realism of the first film. With Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, Joker 2’s musical numbers will definitely add a new level of ferocity to this psychological thriller.
The movie is all set to come out on October 4, 2024 however we got some quite unhappy and disappointing reviews after the premiere of the movie.
On Rotten Tomatoes, critics gave Joker 2 musical 56%, calling it ‘dull’ and ‘pointless. ‘
Jo-Ann Titmarsh, Evening Standard ‘Most of the time it’s fascinating, and its central character has more going on than we’re being led to believe – but this is a dull, plodding film that fails to take us anywhere and moves slowly. ’
BBC’s Nicholas Barber added: ‘Depending on your outlook this scrubbing-clean exercise is either bold or smugly self-righteous, but not much fun. ‘
On the other hand, Richard Lawson at Vanity Fair says: ‘It is startlingly dull, a pointless procedural that appears to disdain its audience. ‘
Makers are worried the second movie will turn out to be a blunder after the first movie was a blockbuster and failed to create a box office boom. The film is tracking for $50 million to $65 million from 4, 100 theaters in North America this weekend. That would represent a big drop from the first film, which opened to $96. 2 million in 4, 100 theaters in October 2019, setting an October record. “Folie à Deux’s” projected ticket sales aren’t alarming, but they’re below expectations after the success of the original. What’s more, the sequel has a $200 million production budget.
